Horses |

are not available for fostering. This is for a variety of reasons
ranging from the fact that they are too old (and don't need the upheaval),
they have ongoing veterinary or behavioural problems or they have strong
attachments to another horse(s). In the latter circumstance, we may
consider fostering some of these if they are placed in a home together.

Horses/Ponies |
...
are just that. They are not rideable at all for a variety of reasons
- usually physical.

| "Lead
Rein" |
We
know these ponies are fantastic with kiddies - but they are not schooled
or up to being rigorously ridden.
|
| "Too
Young" |
We
never put foals or yearlings out on foster.
In certain cases, we
MAY place a three year old to a very experienced foster home, usually one
that we know well and is "tried and tested". We find that
some three year olds are more than ready to start doing some light work
ready for their riding career, however some are not. Each
application for a youngster is taken on merit with this criteria in mind.

| "Rehabilitation
Currently Ongoing" |
These
horses/ponies are not yet ready to be placed in foster homes as we are
still working with them. This can be because they are still making a
recovery from when the Charity first rescued them or because we still need
to get them to trust people. Remember, some of these animals have
been to hell and back - that's why they are in our care.
All horses and ponies
are regularly assessed by our team. When we feel the time is right
for a horse to be placed, then we will look for a suitable foster home. |
