The Essex Horse & Pony Protection Society is a Registered Charity which rescues and rehabilitates neglected, abandoned and abused horses and ponies. Where possible, these animals are found new foster homes, although they remain the responsibility of the Society until the end of their days. We receive no Government funding, but rely wholly on our Membership Scheme, fundraising events and the support of the public to fund our cause. Without this, we could not continue in our work. The Participant whose details are shown below has kindly offered to hold a sponsored event in order to raise money for the animals in our care. RULES OF ENTRY
1.	All entries and payment to be received by 16 September 2010
2.	All cheques made payable to EHPPS
3.	No entry will be accepted without the appropriate entry fee
4.	No refunds will be made due to rider cancellation or failure to arrive or complete the ride, except on production of a vets certificate
5.	Organisers reserve the right to alter/cancel the event in any way they consider appropriate
6.	All sponsor monies must be handed to organiser before ride upon collecting rider/leaders number
7.	Horses should be supervised at all times even when tied to boxes
8.	All entries are accepted on the understanding that the entrants agree to abide by the rules of entry
9.	All riders must wear BSA approved safety hats whilst mounted
10.	All children under 16 to be accompanied by an adult
11.	No animals should be mistreated whilst participating in this event
12.	Correct footwear must be worn at all times
13.	All horses being ridden must be 3 years or over
14.	No stallions or colts
15.	Riders will be sent out in groups according to organisers discretion
16.	Walk and trot only
17.	No dogs allowed
18.	Please abide by the Essex Bridleways Association guidelines (www.essexbridleways.co.uk)
19.	Essex Horse & Pony Protection Society will accept no responsibility for any loss, accident or injury caused as a result of this event. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the event and Essex Horse and Pony Protection Society against any legal action arising from any incident that occurs at this event
